I'm the lady behind the lens. It's pretty rare to find me without a giant smile painted on my face. I'm most comfortable when serving my couples and I've fallen in love with the art of authentic love and the intentionality of capturing that through a lens. I'm born and raised in Southwest Michigan. There's something about Lake Mich, and the beauty of this small town that often leaves me feeling pretty grateful.
As much as I love the comfort of home, I'm always up for traveling, whether that's a road trip up north or a plane trip across the country. I'm a huge fan of traveling and love that I'm able to travel for my couples. Photography has shaped who I am and has allowed me to grow in countless ways, I am constantly in awe and ridiculously blessed to use this gift from God to serve others and give them the gift of images that last forever.
You should love your images and you should love your experience. When couples tell me they loved the experience even before they've received the images, is one of the best compliments. I want our time together to be an opportunity for you and your significant other to create new memories and magic. Trust me, I know that getting in front of the camera isn't always easy or fun, but I can assure you that my number one goal is to make you feel comfortable and naturally true to yourselves. When you look back at your images, it's important that you feel like you and not like a robot trying to awkwardly attempt one million poses. Your experience matters, and I'm here to tell you that I want it to be the best.
The gift of being a photographer, is the opportunity to tell someone's love story. I believe we're made to love, and I want to give you the opportunity to document that through a different and unique perspective.
These are a few of the words that I would use to describe my style. You can find me capturing the authentic, "not so obvious," raw moments. This holds true to my business, my weddings/sessions, and my edit. My images are edited true to color, with a balance between grainy/nostalgic and bright/airy. Finding my style has been a long journey that was finally discovered when I realized what part of photography brings me joy. Why do I do it? An image is the only thing that lasts forever. I often find myself going through our boxes of photos and noticing that each one represents a story. The best part about it? They're not going anywhere. Photos can describe a moment that words often cannot. When I send out my galleries, it makes my heart flutter knowing that these are images that will be a part of your forever.
